TRANSFORMING THE WORLD THOUGH CHRIST WITH AN OPTION FOR THE POOR AND LESS PRIVILEGED.
TO RENDER QUALITY AND AFFORDABLE EYE CARE SERVICES TO ALL, RICH AND POOR ALIKE
The hospital moved to its permanent site in November 2006 after the two-storey building, built and equipped with the help of the CBM (Australia and Italy) was commissioned by the then Superior General of the congregation of the HHCJ, Mother Mary Langley, in an opening ceremony which was followed by a week-long outreach programme by Dr. Kiru.
In attendance also were, Sr. Dr. Josephine Ngama; Acting Medical Director of Ancilla Catholic Hospital, the Project Coordinator of the Eye Centre; Sr. Pauline Anyanwu, and Sr. Dr. Caroline Okeke; an Optometrist.
Sr. Dr. Jane Ogie, an Ophthalmologist, took over running of the Eye Centre in June 2008.
To date, we are the most affordable private eye hospital in Lagos and its environs. We are open to everyone who requires our services. We undertake weekly free eye screening outreaches to churches, mosques, schools, markets and local communities within Lagos, and on a monthly basis, we reach out to communities outside of Lagos, independently and in conjunction with non- governmental organizations, local governments and philanthropic organizations who partner with us.
Thus the Hospital hit the ground running as a 30-bed hospital, daily outpatient (OPD) clinics, and surgeries twice a week.
At Ancilla, we meet your needs medically and surgically. We ensure that your vision is at its best and that your sight is restored to normalcy having had treatment by our team of competent Medical Personnel and Surgeons.
Our staff strength as of December 2018 stands at 118.

Ancilla Catholic Hospital Eye Centre, by popular demand opened an annex on the Lagos Island to cater for the eye health needs of its teeming population.
This is so that we can continue to render quality and affordable medical and surgical services to our clients on the Island and its environs. The opening of the Ancilla Catholic Hospital Eye Centre in the Lekki axis of Lagos, Nigeria, took place on the 10th day of January, 2013 with free consultation and eye screening of clients who came in on that day.
